Abstract
To enhance display performance in automotive applications with harsh condition, Silicone polymer was considered as crucial interfacial issues such as touch mura, yellow mura etc. in optical stack design. Five compositions based on siloxane polymer were prepared as optical laminating materials with different mechanical characteristics such as hardness, modulus, and damping factor. Their structures were adjusted by varying the H/vinyl ratio, hydrogen source ratio between crosslinking, and terminal-group reaction. To investigate the influence of mechanical properties on their performance as laminating materials in the display, they were laminated between Touch screen panel and a LCD module. Thermal stress management ability under thermal shock condition and the distinction of luminance non-uniformity associated with touch action were tested and summarized.
