Abstract

The reaction of Sn(btsa)2 and 2-(dimethylamino)-2-methylpropan-1-ol (dmamp’H) gave a mixture of Sn(dmamp’)2 (1) and Sn6(O)4(dmamp’)4 (2), in which the latter one could be purely isolated by recrystallization. The complex 2 was characterized by NMR, and elemental analysis (EA). Further structural determination was performed by single-crystal X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis to reveal a cage-shaped cluster.
