Abstract
Diamond-like carbon (DLC) films were prepared by a RF-PECVD (Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition) method on glass and silicon substrates by using methane (CH 4) and hydrogen (H 2) gas. We investigated the effect of CH 4 to H 2 ratios on optical and mechanical properties of the DLC films. The structure and surface morphology of the films were examined by using Raman spectroscopy and Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM). The optical properties of DLC thin film were investigated by UV-visible spectrometry and ellipsometry.
