Surgical treatment of pathological dislocation of the hip in a child following acute osteomyelitis of the ilium: A case report

Abstract

The authors experienced a very rare case of untreated pathological dislocation of the hip in a 3-year-old boy secondary to osteomyelitis of the right ilium, which deserves to be reported. The hip was successfully treated by open reduction after subtrochanteric varization osteotomy.
