Abstract
Abstract The rhodium(III)-catalyzed ortho-C-H functionalization of 2-arylbenzo[d]thiazoles with α-diazo esters is described. This transformation provides the facile and efficient construction of C2-alkylated 2-arylbenzo[d]thiazoles in the absence of external oxidants, and releases benign N2 gas as the only byproduct.
