Abstract

This paper presents the time synchronization performance of the IEEE 802.1AS standard using a hardwareassisted time stamp. The IEEE 802.1AS standard describes a time synchronization protocol that is part of Ethernet audio/video bridge (AVB) that is expected to be implemented in a wide variety of multimedia and infotainment applications of automotive systems.
