Abstract

We consider heterogeneous industrial networks supporting soft handoff where users with different mobility are assigned to different layers. In other words, the microcells of the lower layer, assign a slow user, macrocells of the upper layer, assign the fast user. If it is not possible to obtain immediately a idle channel to handoff request, can reduce the terminates forced probability to provide handoff queue. Therefore, we propose an admission control four approaches by providing a handoff queue macrocells and microcells. In consideration of the system in multidimensional birth-death process, we derive the mathematical model by use of the Gauss-Seidel iterative method and steady-state probability distribution. As a result of the analysis, the provision of handoff queue of macrocells and microcells, improvement of performance is increased.
