Nanofiber spraying method using a supplementary electrode

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

Using a supplementary electrode, electrospun poly(e-carprolactone) fibers were deposited on various substrates with different electrical properties. The ability to coat the substrates was independent of the surface electric resistance of the substrates. This was due to the charge reduction of the sprayed fibers, which resulted from passing through the supplementary electrode. The sprayed fibers might find applications in smart textiles, advanced coating technology, and as biomedical wound dressings.
