Abstract
A deep blue boron based multiple resonance (MR) type material was synthesized and evaluated. A di-tert-butylphenyl substituent was introduced into the emitter to suppress the intermolecular interactions. A single electroluminescence device and a tandem device were fabricated with a fluorescent OLED using the characteristics of the MR-type emitter with good color purity and high photoluminescence quantum yield. As a result, the single electroluminescence unit and tandem devices exhibited high maximum external quantum efficiency of 11.3% and 25.1%, and long device lifetime of 208 h and 500 h at 1,000 cd/m2, respectively.
