Abstract

Well ordered mesoporous SBA-16 was successfully synthesized within an one hour by employing microwave-irradiation (MI). Morphologies of these materials prepared by controlling the aging time of silica sol, can be addressed with decaoctahedron and spherical shape. Particle size of mesoporous mateials is also controlled by an effective heat transfer agent as a microwave active material, such as ethylene glycol.
