title = "Mass and high-strength concrete for high-rise buildings in Indonesia",
abstract = "A major part of Amartapura Residential Palace Project is the construction of 51-story and 41-story high rise buildings. The 51-story building, which is under construction, will be the tallest one in Indonesia. For the construction of two buildings, mass concrete for raft foundation and high strength concrete for both core walls and columns in lower stories are used. This paper discusses the following special features of the project. The thermal crack control for raft foundation, cured under hot weather condition, is carried out. By applying analytical results and ACI guidelines to the construction plan and monitoring real temperature in raft foundation during construction, thermal cracks are properly controlled. High strength concrete whose specified compressive strength at 28 days is between 50 MPa to 60 MPa (field strength ranging from 60 to 75MPa), is produced in the dry type batch plant.",
