Abstract

In this paper, we describe stabilized low output voltage bandgap reference (BGR) and low dropout regulator (LDO) circuits. By adding a soft start circuit at the output stage in a general bandgap reference circuit, the rise time of the output voltage of BGR and LDO is increased and stabilized. The proposed circuit uses a CMOS 0.13μm process. The output voltage of each BGR and LDO from a 1.5V supply is 0.46V, 1.2V and consumes 0.06mA.
