N2 - Contactless power transfer (CPT) could provide much convenience and so there have been much commercial interests on CPT recently. Sooner or later, CPT technology is expected to be applied to various electronic devices with transceiver coils for CPT such as electric vehicles, mobile devices and etc. Then the coils in different electronic devices for CPT can cause electromagnetic interference (EMI) on each other. Therefore, it is needed to shield the EMI in CPT systems. In this paper, we have introduced the development tendency of an EMI in the viewpoint of patents in advanced Japanese companies.
