Abstract

Adenomyosis in a 34-year-old infertile woman. (A and B) A hysterosalpingography shows multiple contrast-fi lled spicules (black arrowheads) projecting out of the uterine endometrium, which are highly suggestive of adenomyosis. An arrow indicates a contrast-fi lled fallopian tube. (C) This transabdominal US shows asymmetric myometrial thickening (asterisk) in the anterior body and fundus, suggesting adenomyosis. The lesion has an ill-demarcated margin and heterogeneous echotexture.
