Abstract

This paper deals with a high-voltage pulse power supply for a 1.5 MW klystron. The precision pulse power supply can guarantee stable output power and safety of klystron. The proposed hardtube type high voltage pulse power supply can produced pulses flat-top voltage −90 [kV], pulse width 1.7 [ms], 120 [Hz]. And using auxiliary system called DRC (DRoop Compensator) can improved pulse flatness. The validity of the pulse power supply for klystron has been verified by PSIM simulation and experiment.
