Abstract

A high subthreshold swing (SS) a-IGZO TFT is proposed to reduce the current error rate in pixel circuit at low-gray levels. A high SS can be obtained by carrier concentration profile control in a-IGZO channel width direction. The feasibility was checked using TCAD, and the performance of pixel circuit with high SS driving TFTs was evaluated using HSPICE.
