Abstract
Direct current-voltage (I-V) measurements were used to study current carrying capability in high-quality MgB2 thin films. The I-V measurements were conducted for various magnetic fields and temperatures. The high current-carrying capability of the compound was explained in terms of the vortex-glass phase. A critical current density of 0.1 MA/cm2 was observed at 15 K for a magnetic field of 5 T.
