Abstract

A fully flexible organic bistable light-emitting diode (OBLED) was developed by stacking a bistable organic memory unit on an organic light-emitting unit fabricated on polyethersulfone substrate with a poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) electrode. High current on/off ratio of 1000 and multi-level luminance switching of the flexible OBLEDs were achieved at the same reading voltage by changing the writing voltage of the OBLEDs. Maximum luminance of the OBLED could reach over 1000cd/m2 after optimization of the device structure.
