Abstract
Existing cameras have focusing areas in fixed locations. The user can select a focusing area and then use this area for auto-focusing. However, these systems can focus only in the fixed areas. If the user wants to focus on an object that is outside of the focusing area, he or she must move the camera to bring the object into the focusing area. This paper solves this problem by using method that applies a touch screen to the auto-focusing system of the camera.
