Abstract
We measured the temperature dependence of the magnetic relaxation in a ring-shape c-axis oriented YBCO thin film. The normalized relaxation rate was proportional to the temperature, implying a temperature- independent pinning energy, which is different from that of square-shape films in magnitude and in its temperature dependence. From the temperature and time dependent relaxation rate, we constructed U(J) relations. The result is a logarithmic one and fits well over a wide temperature range. We discuss the above results in relation to the pinning force distribution in samples.
