Abstract
We demonstrate an improved design to obtain high-Q nanocavity in a two-dimensional photonic crystal. Extremely high-Q factor of 75,000 is experimentally achieved by fine-tuning air-hole positions at cavity edges, which allows gentler confinement of light.
