Abstract

The exfoliation of single-walled carbon nanotubes was studied by electrochemical treatment in a nitric acid. Small-angle x-ray diffraction (XRD) showed the expansion of the nanotube inter-spacing. The high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) images showed that dispersion of bundles were not effective at low bias voltages.
