Abstract

In the original article, we described eq 4 as Gibbs free energy, which is inaccurate. The equation is a governing equation explaining the behavior of liquid in an open channel microfluidic system derived from the Gibbs thermodynamic equation. The left-hand side of the corrected eq 4 always follows the same sign (negative and positive) of the Gibbs free energy of the system. Therefore, the error does not affect the overall theoretical integrity, results, and conclusions of the paper. Correcting this omission, we also added detailed explanation to eqs 5 and 6. In addition, we fixed the missing "2 cos"in eq 8.
