Abstract

The development of metallic Zn anodes was hindered by dendrite growth and hydrogen evolution side reactions. Here, we construct a functionalized poly(vinyl-alcohol) protective layer by a simple electro-deposition synthesis process, which realizes stable Zn deposition/stripping (3500 h) and excellent rate performance.
