Abstract

For conventional domestic induction cooktops using series resonant inverters, the value of DC-link capacitance is relatively low, and it cause the sideband harmonics in the spectrum of the resonant current. These sideband harmonics can cause audible noise to users. Therefore, in this study, sideband harmonic suppression method for domestic induction cooktops is proposed. Comparison and analysis according to the noise reduction methods is conducted in order to verify the validity of the proposed strategy. Through simulation and experimental results using 3.2kW test bed, the effectiveness of the proposed noise reduction method is evaluated.
