Abstract

Simple network management protocol (SNMP) MIB-II is used to analyze the performance of Internet-based networks running on TCP/IP (transfer control protocol/Internet protocol). SNMP is also used to use these items, in conjunction with different Web technology and JAVA, to design and implement a Web-based performance management system to analyze the performance of the Internet. SNMP uses Internet performance parameters to extract such items of analysis as real time, elementary and detailed analyses.
