Abstract

A novel interworking HIP (Host Identity Protocol)-PMIPv6 (Proxy Mobile IPv6) Multicast scheme is proposed in this paper for seamless Internet access with low handoff latency in the different administrative domains. The main advantage of proposed scheme is to enable the inter-domain handoff of nodes with a reduced signaling overhead and packet losses. The improvement of the handoff latency and packet losses compared to other global mobility management protocols is verified by performance evaluations.
