Abstract
The authors regret that several minor inconsistencies were identified in the published article. These corrections involve numerical mismatches between the main text, Tables 1 and 2, and Supplementary Table S7, as well as minor wording issues. Importantly, none of these corrections affect the scientific conclusions of the study. 1. Correction of units for polypropylene microplastics As described in the Methods section, microplastics were quantified as the total number of particles from three pads per product. However, the Graphical Abstract, Abstract, and Section 3.2 mistakenly reported the values on a “per pad” basis. The unit has been corrected to “per 3 pads” to accurately reflect the experimental procedure. This correction affects the Graphical Abstract, Abstract, and page 5. 2. Correction of numerical values Several numerical values in Table 1, Table 2, and Supplementary Table S7 did not match the corresponding values referenced in the main text. These inconsistencies resulted from transcription and ordering errors. All numerical errors have now been corrected, and the revised versions of Table 1, Table 2, and Table S7 are provided below. 3. Correction of Figure 2 caption The original caption incorrectly stated: “Images of (A): the control group”. This has been revised to: “Images of (A): the pads without microplastics, and (B–D) the pads with increasing numbers of microplastics, primarily fibers.” These changes improve clarity but do not alter the findings or interpretations. The authors would like to apologize for any inconvenience caused.
