Analytic methodology for slotless permanent magnet linear synchronous motor considering end-effect

Abstract

This paper is presented for suggesting the analytic methodology. Space Harmonic Method, for slotless Permanent Magnet Linear Synchronous Motor(PMLSM) implying the real physical aspect of structure. Especially, the details of the end-effect, a kind of fringing effect resulted from the moving magnet, can be investigated effectively by adopting the proposed method. Furthermore, a distinctive feature of EMF distribution closely concerned with end-effect will be overviewed theoretically.
