Abstract

This paper presents an analysis of the task switching time of the ECU embedded system ported to OSEKturbo. The OSEK is a real-time operating system to be used in automotive applications. The complexity of automotive applications varies considerably from simple control functions in the field of body electronics to high-end applications in the powertrain. An ECU embedded system is made using the MPC565 MCU(Micro-Controller Unit). OSEKturbo is ported to an ECU embedded system in order to analyze task switching time. The OSEKturbo has many tasks, messages, and events. These tasks are managed using the OSEK scheduler. The task switching time must be known, in order to calculate the worst case execution time(WCET) which is the most important factor.
