Abstract

In this study, the magnetic characteristics of permanent magnet (PM) for variable flux memory motor are investigated by making use of magnetic equivalent circuit method, in order to determine detailed specifications. The proposed PM load-line model is valid for investigating transient magnetization state of PM considering non-linear magnetic characteristics. Its validity is evaluated through a comparison with the results of finite element analysis.
