Abstract

A smart LED backlight driver with high flexibility for various scaled-size LCDs is presented. The LED driver can automatically select valid channels and control wide range of the operating frequency by the external component. The prototype driver has 4-controllable channels and achieve 16% improvement of the operating frequency range compared with the conventional oscillator.
