Abstract

In this paper, an ideal healthcare system has been proposed to take full advantage of high technologies in medical fields. In order to propose an ideal healthcare system, a brief history of the healthcare system is reviewed, and several applied healthcare systems are analyzed. To improve healthcare systems, it is necessary to identify which high technologies have been developed for medical fields. Sensor technology, network technology, and data processing technology can be primary high technologies for better healthcare systems. In addition, we suggest that the proposed healthcare system embodies seven characteristics: intelligence, completeness, comprehensiveness, interactiveness, perpetuity, accessibility, and green IT. In sum, in order to be classified as the next ideal healthcare system, we propose that the healthcare system adopts high technologies and satisfies the aforementioned seven characteristics.
