Abstract

This paper presents a review of the D-band antennas. The antennas are designed using several technologies such as low temperature co-fired ceramics (LTCC), printed circuit board (PCB), on-chip, metallic waveguide, 3-D printing, etc. The survey shows that the linearly polarized (LP) antennas with broadside radiation characteristics have been extensively studied, while less data is available for circularly polarized (CP) antennas. Similarly, only a few designs of LP end-fire antennas have been presented, while only one dual-polarized antenna is present. The waveguide-PCB transitions are required for antenna measurements and have also been discussed.
