N2 - This paper addresses a problem of side information generation for Wyner-Ziv video coding. A flexible side information generation scheme based on adaptive search range (ASR) and overlapped block motion compensation (OBMC) is proposed. This scheme enables search range adaptation based on the residual energy of two reconstructed frames and overcomes blocking artifact by overlapped block motion compensation. Experimental results demonstrate superiority of the proposed method over existing side information generation techniques.
