Abstract

Complimentary Positive-Feedback-assisted Level Shifter (CPFLS) is proposed in the 28 nm process with the aim of achieving high performance and wide-ranging operation. By utilizing positive feedback in level shifting current mirror and at the secondary contention limiting circuit, CPFLS significantly reduces transition delay and effectively reduces static current. The proposed level shifter reliably converts sub-threshold voltage of 0.28V to nominal voltage of 1.0V and exhibits over 56% reduction in delay compared to WCMLS, showing an improvement of over 93% in EDP.
