Abstract

A molecular design coupling two emitting cores with thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) characteristics through a phenyl linker was developed as an efficiency improving strategy of the TADF emitters. Two TADF emitters sharing the same design platform of the phenyl linker mediated dual emitting core were synthesized, characterized, and used as the emitters in the TADF devices. A significant increase of the quantum efficiency from 9.3% to 15.2% was described using the phenyl linker mediated dual emitting core design.
